LIVE TV DRAMA: Fox News Host Harris Faulkner Steps In After A Tense On-Air Remark Sparks Concern - News
In the wake of Charlie Kirk’s murder, more attention is being paid to the weight of words. The right-wing activist was gunned down in September, allegedly because of the views he shared on his podcast.
Fox News host Harris Faulkner jumped in during a recent discussion to remind her co-hosts that they “don’t mean” harm on anybody. The reminder came amid a harsh nickname that could be taken the wrong way. Keep reading for all the details.
Fox News Hosts Roast Joy Reid For Calling Beloved Christmas Song Racist
Joy Reid was a fixture on MSNBC until her show, The ReidOut, was canceled in early 2025. She left the network and launched a self-titled news program on social media. Joy Reid sparked controversy earlier this week by sharing a video criticizing a popular Christmas song as having racist origins.

Joy Reid’s video features a man at a plaque in Medford, Massachusetts, celebrating the place where James Lord Pierpont composed “Jingle Bells” in 1850. The video claims that the song, originally titled ” The One Horse Open Sleigh,” was meant to be performed at minstrel shows, which had white actors in blackface to mock Black people.
Fox News had an absolute field day with Joy Reid’s post and the suggestion that “Jingle Bells” is racist. The topic came up on Outnumbered, with Lara Trump stating, “It’s this kind of ridiculous take on things that got her taken right off the air.”
Charles Payne joked, “You mean Killjoy Reid.” The nickname caused the panel to break out laughing. “Killjoy Reid – we’re changing the name. It’s official,” Lara Trump added.
But not everyone was having a great time at Joy Reid’s expense.
Harris Faulkner Steps In: ‘We Don’t Mean Anybody Any Harm’ Amid Nickname
Harris Faulkner attempted to put a stop to the misconception. “Well, I want to say something about that, though, because I know that people will watch this and edit and take it out of context,” she said.
The Fox News anchor continued, “The word ‘Killjoy’ has nothing to do with her – it just has to do with taking away somebody’s joy.” Lara Trump suggested the nickname “Downer Reid” instead.
However, Harris Faulkner continued her point. “I just want to make sure that if people clip this that they understand that we don’t mean anybody any harm. She’s just sucking the fun out of things.”
The host went on to with Joy Reid a “very Merry Christmas.”
While the Fox News host didn’t take the origin of “Jingle Bells” seriously, many people agreed with Joy Reid.
- “America’s identity is racism, not patriotism.”
- “Here’s a DIY experiment. Do a Google search for “The racist history of _____” on any subject, and you will find that almost everything in America is racist.”
- “The more I learn about…. *everything* the more *everything* makes me sick.”
- “now i’m just fed up, what DOESN’T have anti-Black origins in this system?”
- “Honestly- I’m going back to jingle bells Batman smells then”
My Husband Slapped Me While I Held Our Feverish Daughter—He Never Expected Someone Recorded Everything

Brian’s hand crashed across my face just as I reached for the front door.
The impact whipped my head sideways, sending the car keys skidding across the hardwood floor. My hip slammed into the edge of the dining table, making the silverware rattle and one of Donna’s crystal serving bowls wobble dangerously before crashing onto its side.
Lily cried out in terror.
Instinct took over before the pain did. I turned my body, shielding her with my arms and pressing her burning little face against my shoulder so Brian couldn't come anywhere near her.
The dining room fell into stunned silence.
Only moments earlier, the table had been filled with laughter, clinking glasses, and endless compliments about the elaborate Sunday dinner Donna had proudly claimed credit for—even though I had spent hours preparing every dish under her constant criticism.
Now no one spoke.
The sting spread across my cheek like fire.
Brian stared at his open hand, blinking as though he couldn't believe what he'd just done.
Behind him, Donna's lips curved into the faintest smile.
It lasted less than a second.
But I saw it.
Pure satisfaction.
"Mommy..." Lily whispered, her voice shaking. "I'm so cold."
She shivered violently against me, yet her tiny body radiated heat through her pink pajamas. Less than fifteen minutes earlier, the thermometer had flashed 104 degrees.
I had shown it to Donna.
She dismissed it with a wave of her hand, accusing me of trying to ruin family dinner.
I had shown it to Brian.
Without even looking at the thermometer, he'd glanced toward the dining room and asked, "Can it wait another hour?"
Now he took a cautious step toward us, lowering his voice as though calming an overreacting stranger.
"Megan... I didn't mean for that to happen."
"Stay away from us."
My words came out calm—almost emotionless—which somehow made them sound even colder.
Donna stepped between us, smoothing the front of her burgundy dress as if restoring order.
"You embarrassed your husband in front of everyone," she said evenly. "You pushed past him and caused a scene. What else did you think would happen?"
I slowly lifted my eyes to meet hers.
Nancy Pelosi's husband Paul charged after alleged hit-and-run crash in California | Serie A English
Paul Pelosi, the husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, has been charged following an alleged hit-and-run collision that occurred during the Fourth of July weekend in California’s Napa Valley.
Authorities say the 86-year-old allegedly struck a legally parked vehicle in Yountville before leaving the scene, leading to misdemeanor charges after deputies located him a short distance away.
According to information released by the Napa County Sheriff’s Office and California Highway Patrol, the incident took place on July 3 when Pelosi was driving a brown convertible through Yountville.
The Napa County District Attorney’s Office has officially filed a misdemeanor charge against former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul following a vehicle collision earlier this month.
According to the complaint, Pelosi allegedly hit a parked vehicle on July 3 and left…
Officials said his vehicle collided with an unoccupied parked car, causing significant damage. Although Pelosi briefly stopped after the impact, investigators allege that he drove away moments later.

Witness report led deputies to Pelosi’s vehicle
A witness who observed the crash contacted emergency services and provided a description of the departing vehicle.
Law enforcement officers later found Pelosi approximately a quarter-mile from the crash site. His convertible reportedly showed substantial damage to the front right side.
According to authorities, Pelosi told deputies that he knew he had struck something but did not know exactly what it was or when the damage to his vehicle had occurred, so he continued driving.
Officials confirmed that alcohol was not a factor in the incident, and no injuries were reported.
Pelosi has now been charged with one misdemeanor count of hit-and-run driving along with one infraction for an unlawful turning movement.
The Napa County Sheriff’s Office also referred him to the California Department of Motor Vehicles for an evaluation of his continued driving eligibility, describing it as a standard procedure for elderly drivers.
In a statement provided to the California Post, the Pelosis said, “Mr. Paul Pelosi has personally apologized to the owner of the vehicle and assured them that he would take responsibility for the damage to their vehicle.”
The statement also noted that Nancy Pelosi would not be commenting further on what it described as a private matter.
The latest incident comes four years after Pelosi pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor DUI stemming from a 2022 crash in Napa County.

That collision occurred after Pelosi left a dinner in Oakville and attempted to cross State Route 29, where his Porsche was struck by a Jeep. Authorities at the time reported that his blood alcohol concentration measured 0.082%.
Following his guilty plea, Pelosi received a five-day jail sentence, three years of probation, financial penalties, restitution payments and was ordered to complete a drinking driver education program.
According to the information provided, he ultimately served two days in custody, received credit for two additional days because of good conduct and completed the remaining day through a courthouse work program. His probation also required the installation of an ignition interlock device and payment of approximately $5,000 in victim restitution along with roughly $2,000 in fines.
Later in 2022, Pelosi was seriously injured during a violent break-in at the couple’s San Francisco home when he was attacked with a hammer.
The latest case remains focused on the July 3 collision, with authorities alleging Pelosi left the scene after striking a parked vehicle despite stopping briefly following the impact.
