Chapter 2: The Truth on the Jumbotron

For three agonizing seconds, nobody moved. The elite guests sat frozen in their velvet chairs, whispering in hushed, cowardly murmurs. Julian smiled a smug, sick smile, feeling completely justified in his public execution of Clara’s dignity.

One man stood arrogantly with a weapon, blinded by his own vanity. The other woman wept on the ground, completely shattered.

"Security! Get this defective woman out of my sight and call my public relations team!" Julian commanded, waving his hand toward the back of the room.

But the venue's security team didn't step forward to assist him. Instead of a successful public shaming, Julian's smug supremacy shattered instantly when the massive, high-definition digital monitors flanking the altar—originally meant to play a romantic slideshow of the couple's childhood photos—suddenly flickered into a bright, blinding white.

A loud static noise buzzed through the state-of-the-art sound system.

The image on the giant screens shifted to a grainy, black-and-white security feed. It wasn't a childhood memory. It was surveillance footage from inside Julian’s private Manhattan penthouse, dated exactly three weeks prior.

The entire ballroom gasped in unison. On the massive screens, Julian could be clearly seen screaming at Clara, cornering her against a wall, and violently throwing a crystal vase at her head, missing her by mere inches before slapping her across the face. The audio was crystal clear, capturing his venomous threats: "If you ever think about leaving me, Clara, I will ensure your family starves on the streets. You are my property."

"What is this?! Turn it off!" Julian shrieked, dropping the wooden plaque as his face turned from arrogant red to a ghostly, pale white. "Who is hacking the system?! Turn it off now!"

But the video didn't stop. It transitioned into a second clip, showing Julian physically altering financial ledgers and signing the exact fraudulent offshore documents mentioned in the financial tabloids just minutes ago. He hadn't been betrayed by Clara; his own automated cloud backup system had been intercepted by a federal task force that had been monitoring his digital footprint for months.

The entire room—including the terrified little flower girl and her high-society parents—looked at Julian in absolute horror. The illusion of the perfect, powerful billionaire heir was completely dead. He stood exposed as a violent, abusive monster and a federal criminal on a global stage.
