CHAPTER 3 — Rise of the Woman They Buried

No one noticed when she moved at first.
Slowly… the woman in blue pressed her palm against the marble floor.
Then she stood.
Not rushed.
Not desperate.
Controlled.
A queen rising from ruins.
She wiped the blood from her lip with a steady hand.
Her eyes lifted.
And the entire room felt colder.
The mistress took a step back.
“Wait… this has to be a mistake—” she started.
The protagonist looked at her once.
Only once.
And she stopped talking.
Then the husband turned toward her, panic breaking through his arrogance.
“You can’t do this to me. I MADE YOU—”
She tilted her head slightly.
“No,” she said softly.
May you like
“You simply never looked at the contract you signed.”
That sentence destroyed him more than any scream could.
