CHAPTER 3: THE ONLY GUEST NO LONGER WELCOME
For several seconds, nobody moved.
The room struggled to process what had happened.
Claire stared at Elena.
Daniel stared at the floor.
The managers waited nervously.
And Elena remained perfectly calm.
Slowly, she wiped chocolate frosting from her cheek.

Finally, Elena looked directly at Claire.
"You never asked who I was."

Then she smiled gently.
"The wedding will continue."

"But not under the original contract."

"Any guest who physically assaults hotel ownership violates venue policy."
"Yes, Ms. Hart," the general manager replied immediately.
Elena nodded.
"Remove Claire Morrison from the property."
Gasps swept through the ballroom.
The bride stared in disbelief.
"No..."
Security began moving forward.
Claire looked desperately toward Daniel.
"Do something!"
But Daniel couldn't.
Legally, Elena was within her rights.
The contracts supported her.
The venue belonged to her.
And everyone in the room knew it.
The woman who had spent months planning the perfect wedding suddenly found herself standing alone in the center of the ballroom.
Guests avoided eye contact.
Phones recorded everything.
