Chapter 4: The Truth Uncovered

I called the police the next morning.
Not just with accusations.
With evidence.
112 days of it.
They didn’t even hesitate.
By afternoon, detectives were sitting in my living room, watching the footage in silence.
One of them leaned back slowly.
“I’ve seen a lot,” he said. “But this…”
He didn’t finish.
They arrested my wife that same day.
She didn’t cry.
Didn’t beg.
She just looked at me and smiled again.
“You think this will ruin me?”
I met her gaze.
“No,” I said quietly. “You already did that yourself.”
But the story didn’t end there.
Because during the investigation, something else came out.
Money.
Large transfers.
Accounts in her name.
She hadn’t just been abusing my mother.
She’d been draining everything I built.
And planning to disappear.
Without a trace.
Without consequences.

She thought no one would ever find out.
She was wrong.
