PART 6: THE GENEVA CORRECTION

By 5:00 AM, Marcus Bell was standing inside Samantha’s office, his face tight with the exhaustion of a six-month campaign that he thought had ended at the courthouse. He dropped a heavy leather binder onto the glass desk, the pages filled with newly decrypted wire transfer records from the Swiss financial authority.

"The satellite relay in Geneva isn't an outside hack, Samantha," Marcus warned, pointing to a highlighted sequence of international routing numbers. "It’s a direct siphon. Vanguard Core is currently being managed by an active trustee registered in the Cayman Islands under a pseudonym—Julian Vane."

The name hit the room like a physical drop in temperature. Julian Vane had been her father’s chief software architect ten years ago, the man who had suddenly vanished right before the Kensington patents were officially registered with the global tech consortium. For a decade, the family believed he had retired to a quiet estate in Europe. Now, his digital ghost was reaching out from the ruins of Oliver’s fraud to seize the primary encryption layer.

"He’s not trying to sell the data," Samantha realized, her mathematical mind assembling the massive corporate puzzle with clinical speed. "He’s trying to trigger a cascading corruption in our European logistics hubs before the market opens on Friday. If the hubs stall, the Kensington stock will drop forty percent, allowing Vanguard Core to execute a hostile, state-sponsored buyout using our own stolen capital."

"We have exactly thirty-six hours before the European exchange opens," Marcus said, his eyes tracking the digital clock on the wall. "If we don't sever the physical terminal Julian is using to mask the transmission, the data corruption becomes permanent."

Samantha stood up, smoothing down the front of her tailored emerald green blazer. She didn't look at the morning sun breaking over the financial district. She looked at her phone, where a fresh notification showed that Donatella Callahan had just checked into a luxury hotel in New Jersey under an assumed name, funded by a Swiss credit line that shouldn't exist.

"Get the private transport ready, Marcus," Samantha commanded, her voice steady and absolute. "We’re going to Geneva. It’s time to lock the shadow partner out of the house for good."
